Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Band from Guayaquil, Ecuador Black Sun is a Hard Rock / Heavy Metal band from Guayaquil, Ecuador, established on 1999, who have delivered three full-length albums, an EP and a short film.

Black Sun's last production, the EP "Silent Enemy" follow the band's philosophy of seeking the highest standards. It was produced by Nino Laurenne, recorded at Sonic Pump Studios, Helsinki and Sonic Pump Studio, Ecuador, mixed by Nino Laurenne and mastered by Svante Forsback (Rammstein).

For this album, Nino and Black Sun recruited a start studded lineup to record vocals, counting with Netta Laurenne, Noora Louhimo, Lordi, Henning Basse, Jukka Pelkonen, Elias Viljanen and Asim Searah.

Besides the Ep, the band shot a short film, using the EP music as soundtrack. The short film was awarded 32 prizes in international film festivals.

Still Alive and Dark Mirror featured in Spotify editorial playlist during the years 2021 and 2022, amassing more than 400,000 plays only in Spotify.

For this year, 2023, Black Sun has announced Netta Laurenne and Nino Laurenne as official members, with whom have recorded a new full length album to be released later this 2023.
